NEW MATERIAL
2025
For my Materials and Finishes class, I was tasked with finding a new material in the field of interior design and sharing my research. I selected ExCinere, a tile made from volcanic ash and created by Dzek Studios and Formafantasma. This slow architectural product is sustainable and requires little human intervention in the collection of its ingredients. It is also adaptable to various design styles.

I visited the Table Manners Exhibition at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and created a write-up about my experience. This assignment was for my History of Interiors class to encourage other classmates to explore new exhibitions.
